Safety is a fundamental need for humans, similar to health. People expect that if it hurts or people have pain, the doctor helps humans by ordering medicines or therapies. It is the same with the individual and general sense of safety if people have or perceive issues with security in public and at home; some people call the police, and others engage a lawyer who clarifies the controversy with the neighbor, partner, or colleague. Another example is if a person receives a direct threat because humans do not always make friends in life, or through business success also has enviers. People who desire to get a part of it, often with illegal measures, have to worry about their security. But there are specialists for everything, and you call them, and they will guide and protect you in some instances and what you could do in addition to reducing the risk. However, how far are people willing to take things seriously enough to understand the real problem and consider another solution?
Currently, the human need for safety and health is considered not in the correct way so that people aren't concerned about coming to harm or having health issues solved. Humans have primarily always delegated the responsibility of curing or solving the safety problem to third parties. One reason is that we are too busy with tasks to maintain our standard of living. Well-paid job, a house, a nice car, a vacation once or twice a year, nice fancy clothes, and much more. The level of distraction that we see in our society could be a big problem in getting the necessary consciousness for our safety and health prevention. We no longer take time to be interested in such topics.
That is up to now in the western industrial countries' everyday life. If you look at developing countries or countries that are not taken into account by the world community, whether for political, social, cultural, financial, or social reasons or other differences, the situation is somewhat different in terms of security and health of the people. Unfortunately, from a security point of view, people's health is not the primary goal of the responsible industry that people feel safer or that they are healthy and stay healthy.
What does security mean? We provide as humans security at home, security on the road or at work, in our spare time, in buildings, public infrastructure, in work, on journeys, political stability, peace, and on the whole, no danger from the outside. People do not want to come to harm or be sick; that is the basic need. That's why it's unbelievable that people think that security and healthy are something they take for granted. People are simply too well off to get out of this comfort zone, and comfort plays a big role in our security and healthy service provider.
People know that a certain amount of awareness and caution is necessary for road traffic; otherwise, there is a risk of an accident. But the perceived safety through assistance systems is also fallacious because there are people who think that an airbag, automatic distance control, or emergency braking system will protect or save their lives. Unfortunately, the statistics show a different picture due to this false assumption. Producers of vehicles, their components or other products for daily life, leisure activities, and employers are keen to point out the dangers and risks. People aren't interested in the responsibility or simply too comfortable dealing with the devices and their operation. There are enough examples. The most significant risk is that people want to or have to give up their responsibility, or even worse, don't want to.
People have to ensure institutions don't get too many rights because they no longer want to take responsibility for themselves. Responsibility of people towards themselves regarding their safety and health are only two basic needs. According to the Constitution, we are not talking about fundamental rights, such as our freedoms. People and their habits, which are the focus of the wholesale chains, entertainment industry, finance, law enforcement agencies, and the intelligence sector, have great interest in knowing or even controlling people's behavior and habits. Officially they are telling us it is in the interest of national security or homeland security and counterterrorism. At the latest, since the leaks of information (Edward Snowden, Julian Assange, etc.), we know that people's data security is very fragile, and many people are not 100% aware of the risks.
People's behavior has always been in the interest of governments, states, rulers, and their institutions. Let me quote the subject of the state and the people, "The people are difficult to lead if they are too clever" Laotse hits the nail on the head here.
Studying people and thereby seducing, distracting, and or misleading them is a tempting tool of rulers, then and now.
Distraction is ubiquitous, and that is essentially no longer respected.
There is a specific risk for individuals and our society facing the transformation goals of sustainability (e.g., 17 goals of the UN Agenda 2030) or even the WHO plans regarding future pandemics. The human race threatens the deprivation of freedom rights, co-determination, self-determination, freedom of expression, freedom of choice and restriction of movement, etc...
Each human being should deal with it, whether this complies with our nature and intuition. A specific awareness and attentiveness are now and for the future essential to leave for us and our demands, a world for which it is worthwhile, that the basic needs exist and we determine them ourselves. Richard von Weizsäcker once said, "All dictatorships feed on the fear of their subjects."
We must pay attention to the basic needs; otherwise, we will have to face the consequences. A look at the East of Asia is good advice here, where the state and provincial governments have already installed specific measures and restrictions.
Our awareness and attention to our safety, individually and in general, together with our health, are currently the two most important values we should determine for ourselves. Every human being should be aware of this. We, humans, can decide for ourselves, according to the mindfulness around our awareness, to sharpen this and let our good old gut feeling or intuition flow to get on the right path. People need to find themselves again, not outside.
